Detail Acts as Solicitor to the Trustee in the Kaduna State N8.5 Billion Development Bonds Issue
All processes for the issuance of the N8.5 Billion Kaduna State Development Bonds have been completed. At a 12.5% Fixed Rate, this bonds issue matures in 2015 and is the first tranche of the State's N15 Billion Bond Issuance Programme. The proceeds of the bonds are intended to be used towards financing planned developmental projects including, but not limited to, the construction of the Zaria Regional Water Supply Treatment Plant, building of a 200 bed Specialist Hospital, the construction of Tum-Madakiya Road and the development of the Kafanchan Campus at Kaduna State University.

DETAIL delivers paper at PPP seminar session at the CWC Nigeria Infrastructure Conference

held at the recently concluded CWC Nigeria
Infrastructure Conference in Abuja from the 2nd to 4th of December 2008.

On Thursday, 27th November 2008,
DETAIL hosted gentlemen of the press to lunch where
DETAIL formally announced it’s collaboration with Ara on
her Rebranding Project. The Press lunch was led by Ara,
Kunle Hamilton of Virgin Outdoor and Dolapo Kukoyi of
DETAIL Solicitors. Amongst the issues discussed were
DETAIL’S Entertainment Law Department and Ara’s plans

DETAIL hosts DETAIL night-out
On Thursday 30th October 2008, DETAIL Commercial Solicitors rolled out
the carpet to fete its clients, friends and prospective
clients to what it called the DETAIL Night-Out. The
night-out which featured Ara (who is a client of DETAIL) Africa’s
foremost female talking drummer of repute held at the Regent Chinese Restaurant, Victoria Island,
Lagos and was attended by people of different
nationalities, guests were offered a 3 course meal
alongside the stage and neon lights which had been set
up for Ara to show her true color as an illustrious
exporter of Nigerian culture. For DETAIL it was yet another event that sets a new pace
for law firm events in Nigeria.

DETAIL’S Lead Partner to
deliver Address to NBA
Ayuli Jemide will be
delivering a talk to the Lagos State branch of the
Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) on the “Legal and
Contractual Framework for Infrastructure Projects in
Nigeria”. This event will take place in Lagos on the 18th of September 2008.

at Africa Investor Forum in Abuja
DETAIL is set to feature at
the Africa Investor Forum. Detail’s lead partner, Ayuli
Jemide will deliver a paper at the event titled
“Emerging Legal and Regulatory Framework for Private
Public Partnership for Infrastructure in Nigeria”. The Africa Investor Forum,
which holds on June 16 and 17 2008, gives an opportunity
for current and potential investors to meet, network and
share information about the challenges and rewards of
investment in Nigeria.

Session
DETAIL Solicitors lead
partner, Ayuli Jemide, was appointed Lead Speaker at the
Infrastructure session of a Conference with the theme
“Law, Peace and Development in the Niger Delta Region”. The Conference, held in
Port-Harcourt on the 4th – 7th of
May 2008, was jointly organized by the Niger-Delta
Development Commission (NDDC) and the Nigerian Bar
Association (NBA). Mr. Jemide gave a
presentation titled: “Public Private Partnership and

Infrastructure Session at SBL Conference
DETAIL organized the
Infrastructure Session at the just-concluded Conference
of the Section on Business Law of the Nigerian Bar
Association that took place in Abuja from the 25th -28th of March 2008. The Infrastructure session included
a presentation by Detail’s Lead Partner Ayuli Jemide.
The other speakers at the seminar were Dr. Ransom Owan,
Chairman Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission;
Engineer Okwudili Ikejiani, a former World Bank
Consultant who is now the technical adviser to the
Minister of Transportation and the Head of Structured
Finance BGL Ltd.

appointed to National Think Tank
Ayuli Jemide has been
appointed to the National Think Tank Committee on
Nigeria’s Constitution Review. The Committee was
inaugurated on the 6th of March 2008. The
Committee is charged with the task of reviewing the
problematic parts of the constitution with the aim of
suggesting amendments to the Senate and the Federal
Government.

Business Law Consortium (IBLC) retreat in South Africa.
The retreat, which held at the Pilanesberg National
Park, South Africa, was themed “Lawyering in the
International Market”. Ayuli discussed the topic
“Emerging Corporate Governance Regimes in Nigeria”.

President of Nigerian Swiss Chamber of

Lead partner Ayuli Jemide, has been re-elected President
of the Nigeria Swiss Chamber of Commerce. Ayuli Jemide
is now serving his 2nd term as President of the chambers
after the Chamber first elected him to the office in
2006.
